There are many reasons why people decide to start their own business but perhaps two of the most important ones would be because they want to do something they enjoy and they think they can do it better than other businesses.
Over the years, we’ve worked with hundreds of business start ups but we’ve yet to hear any of them say they started their own business because they wanted to do the business accounts. In fact, it’s quite the opposite, the vast majority of them forget all about the accounts.
Starting your business needn’t be financially complex but there are some decisions it’s wise to take advice on at the very beginning. What’s best: a sole trader, a partnership or should you set up a limited company? Would being VAT registered be of benefit?
We can help you answer these questions reasonably easily and making the right decision at the start might even reduce the amount of money you’ll have to give to the taxman further down the road. We all like the sound of that!
Keeping accurate records throughout the year will save you money in the long run, but what’s the best way to do this? If you’re a new business, it’s hard to know where to start and then how much information you need to keep. We’ll explain what you need to do and together we’ll work out an easy way for you to keep your records in order.
Running a new business takes enough time as it is, without worrying about your accounts.
